Blood & Money

I was out and about today in Stormwind taking care of some things when I happened to hear a name that burned in my mind. Jeater. I looked around to see if I could find the person that had said it. I looked behind me and there he was. The little gnome was talking a little female gnome. It seems as though he was flirting with her but that didn’t concern me. I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and asked me if I needed an enchant. I asked him if his name was Jeater and he smiled and nodded to me. I told him that I needed to speak with him privately. He told me to go away and that he was trying to get a date with the little gnome lady. He saw how serious I was being and agreed to join me. I apologized to the gnome lady and we walked to the bridge between the Trade District and the Mage Quarter.

I stopped on the bridge and began asking him of Mabon, my wife. He told me that they were old friends and that they both went on a little adventure the other day. He then said that Mabon had never told him she was married. My anger began to surface but I was able to control it. I told him that due to his little stunt in Nagrand the other day Mabon nearly died. Jeater said that he was asked by Mabon to be taken to that spot and that he was only doing what she asked of him.

I told him that with friends like him that no one needed enemies. He actually smiled at the thought. I bent down and told him that if I ever heard his name pass from Mabon’s lips again that he would regret not being eaten by ogres. It would be a fate worse than death for sure. He got cocky and exclaimed that I would need an army. I had noticed where the gnome was standing at the time, which was on the ledge of the bridge, and grinned at him. I asked him if he knew how to swim. He muttered a few words wondering why I’d ask. Without hesitation I pushed him into the canal. The last thing I heard from him was a gurgled cry for help.

Later that night I met up with Mabon at home.  She was excited to see me. I asked how her day had gone and she told me of her day’s exploits. Mabon dug in her bag and pulled out a treasure map. Opening it up, she explained that she found it while out collection pirate hats for someone. She looked at me with excitement and asked if I wanted to go with her to find the treasure. Of course I did. It isn’t every day that my wife asks me to go on an adventure with her. I nodded and said that I’d live to go.

Mabon changed clothes and we headed to the flight master. We mounted up and flew to Gadgetzan. Once we arrived we headed out to where the map said to go. We got to the beach and decided that we’d have to swim to the map’s location. We walked along the beach looking for the marker the map showed. We finally saw the marker and went to inspect it. Upon our arrival at the location we were ambushed by pirates. We easy dispatched the pirates and inspected their bodies. One of them had a key. Mabon took the key and put it in the chest. With a turn of the key the chest sprung open. We had found the treasure! Mabon looked at me with a huge smile and inspected the loot. She collected all the treasure and we returned home.
