Bjorke asked to speak with me. She said it was urgent. I met her outside the Blue Recluse in Stormwind. I was sitting at one of the table awaiting her arrival. She came and sat down on the opposite side of the table as me.

She didn’t bother with small talk. She told me that Mabon had been abducted by her Uncle Sven. She was taken earlier in the day while visiting Loch Modan. Mabon was heard over the guild channel during the abduction.

Bjorke looked at me worryingly. I grit my teeth and Bjorke stood up and backed away from the table as to not be within any sort of striking distance. My rage took over and as I stood I flung the table across the patio.

Bjorke told me that she knew where Sven was and that Mabon was with him. She said that they were at Shadowfang Keep. I told Bjorke that I was leaving to take care of this once and for all. It was obviously a trap but she thought to tell me anyways.

She begged me not to go and let her gather more information about the situation. She wanted to round up the guild and go and break her out. I reluctantly agreed and told her that my children and I will be staying in Moonglade to ensure that nothing can happen to the children.

She asked if she should send a few guards to keep watch over them. I told her to send three guards but they probably won’t be needed since they will be in the Stormrage burrow.

I left her and departed to Moonglade with the children in tow. I couldn’t help but wonder if Mabon was alright. What did he want with her? Wasn’t it enough that he wanted to kill our children but now he wants me and her too?

The other night my guild decided to throw a surprise party for Mabon and me. Mabon and I were out shopping and ran into Mabon’s mother Aelsa. We were both surprised to see her in Darnassus. When asked Aelsa told us she came to help Mabon do some shopping. After a little bit of shopping we decided to head back to our loft. Upon our arrival were shocked to see so many people in our home. The party itself was alright. We talked for a bit and even played a game called Truth or Dare. It is a rather odd game if you ask me but I went along with it.

At one point of the evening Chirak departed from the party and came back using his Orb of Deception. He looked like a giant Tauren. Mabon was so frightened at the sight that she ran off and hid herself in the shadows. We had to persuade her that it was mealy a deception and that he was of no real danger. As the night went along I grew pretty tires and I could tell the others were getting restless. So we decided to call it a night and everyone went their separate ways.

Everyone save one. Arcadon had fallen asleep on our balcony. By the time we had decided to go wake him up he rose with a start and took off with a quick goodbye. After he left I told Mabon that I was ready to go to bed. However she didn’t think we’d be getting much sleep. When I asked why all she told me was that it was time. When I asked what it was time for she just laughed and told me it was time for the dragons to arrive.

Calmly I asked if she was sure, how long she’s been having pains, and when did the pains start. She said that when Chirak came up and was dressed like a Tauren that she had started then. I’m sure my face showed that I was more than amazed at how long ago that had been. I then asked her why she waited so long to tell me and all she had to say was that we’ve never really had a party end on a good note and didn’t want to spoil the evening. I helped lay Mabon down and quickly went to fetch the mid-wife.

Mabon went on a binge and paid for it later. She came clean, we had a fight, we made up, and all is well.

Mabon went into false labor due to the stress of her Uncle Sven trying to come between her and me along with other small troubles that occurred.

I went to find Sven and ended up on the wrong end of the situation. He ambushed me with a few men and a tranquilizing dart. He kept me sedated and sold me off the Syndicate. Bjorke and others in the guild began a search for me and eventually found me and came to the rescue. All of this was kept from Mabon due to not wanting to cause her any more stress than she needs.

I completed my training and am now working on my leatherworking. I plan to spend more time with Mabon and the dragons once they arrive.

I was out and about today in Stormwind taking care of some things when I happened to hear a name that burned in my mind. Jeater. I looked around to see if I could find the person that had said it. I looked behind me and there he was. The little gnome was talking a little female gnome. It seems as though he was flirting with her but that didn’t concern me. I walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder. He turned around and asked me if I needed an enchant. I asked him if his name was Jeater and he smiled and nodded to me. I told him that I needed to speak with him privately. He told me to go away and that he was trying to get a date with the little gnome lady. He saw how serious I was being and agreed to join me. I apologized to the gnome lady and we walked to the bridge between the Trade District and the Mage Quarter.

I stopped on the bridge and began asking him of Mabon, my wife. He told me that they were old friends and that they both went on a little adventure the other day. He then said that Mabon had never told him she was married. My anger began to surface but I was able to control it. I told him that due to his little stunt in Nagrand the other day Mabon nearly died. Jeater said that he was asked by Mabon to be taken to that spot and that he was only doing what she asked of him.

I told him that with friends like him that no one needed enemies. He actually smiled at the thought. I bent down and told him that if I ever heard his name pass from Mabon’s lips again that he would regret not being eaten by ogres. It would be a fate worse than death for sure. He got cocky and exclaimed that I would need an army. I had noticed where the gnome was standing at the time, which was on the ledge of the bridge, and grinned at him. I asked him if he knew how to swim. He muttered a few words wondering why I’d ask. Without hesitation I pushed him into the canal. The last thing I heard from him was a gurgled cry for help.

Later that night I met up with Mabon at home. She was excited to see me. I asked how her day had gone and she told me of her day’s exploits. Mabon dug in her bag and pulled out a treasure map. Opening it up, she explained that she found it while out collection pirate hats for someone. She looked at me with excitement and asked if I wanted to go with her to find the treasure. Of course I did. It isn’t every day that my wife asks me to go on an adventure with her. I nodded and said that I’d live to go.

Mabon changed clothes and we headed to the flight master. We mounted up and flew to Gadgetzan. Once we arrived we headed out to where the map said to go. We got to the beach and decided that we’d have to swim to the map’s location. We walked along the beach looking for the marker the map showed. We finally saw the marker and went to inspect it. Upon our arrival at the location we were ambushed by pirates. We easy dispatched the pirates and inspected their bodies. One of them had a key. Mabon took the key and put it in the chest. With a turn of the key the chest sprung open. We had found the treasure! Mabon looked at me with a huge smile and inspected the loot. She collected all the treasure and we returned home.

I thought that after our little fight the other night that all had been settled. I found out today that it had not. I received word from Mabon that she had been adventuring with a friend and was now in trouble. I asked her where she was but she couldn’t tell me. All she new is that she was in a strange place that had a pretty sky and was surrounded by ogres. That didn’t sound anything like Azeroth so I asked her the last place she remembers being. She then told me that she started out in Shattrath City.

My anger ignited but was quickly extinguished when she started to cry and tell me that she was scared and couldn’t get away from where she was. So I told her to stay put and not do anything stupid. She agreed and stayed hidden. I had a hunch as to where she was. So I made my way to Nagrand and then to Warmaul Hill. I made my way up the hill and searched about while dispatching any ogres that got in my way. I found Mabon lying on the ground unconscious. I ran to her and knelt down to check to see if she was still alive. I sighed as I felt her pulse. I stood over her and began channeling my best healing spell. Mabon woke up and smiled at me. I helped her up and told her to stay close but not too close.

As we made our way down the hill we ran into a little opposition. The ogres were no match for us but what waited for us at the bottom of the hill was another story. At the bottom of the hill stood a Mountain Gronn. I know he wasn’t there to fight us but he was in our way and I wasn’t about to give up. I told Mabon that once I engage the Gronn in battle that she needs to run past us and hide. The Gronn and I locked into battle and Mabon ran past. My focus was not on defeating the Gronn but on keeping Mabon safe. The Gronn was fierce but he didn’t stand a chance against my determination. After a heated battle the Gronn fell to the ground.

I looked around and saw Mabon hiding behind a tree. I ran over to her to make sure she was alright. She smiled and nodded. We called for our mounts and headed to the nearest flight point. On the way to the flight point we encountered a little opposition but nothing I couldn’t handle. Once we arrived we flew back to Shattrath City so that we could take the portal back home. We stepped through the portal and rode back to our loft.

Once back at the loft my emotions got the best of me. I began ripping into Mabon as to how in Azeroth could she think that an ogre hill was a scenic spot. She said that she ran into a childhood friend and that he had said he knew of a spot that had a beautiful view of Outlands and that Mabon being readily seeking a dangerous adventure insisted that they go. She explained that when they arrived that the hill was deserted but once they got to the top they were found by the ogres.

I asked who this friend was that took her there. Mabon told me that the ogres took him away and that if they didn’t kill him that she feared I would. I told her that her friend would be lucky if he ended up in an ogres belly and that if I found him he’d wish he had been. She then exclaimed that it wasn’t Jeater’s fault and that she was to blame for her foolishness. She put her hand over her mouth as she realized that she just gave away her friend’s identity. I said his name out loud so that I could commit it to memory.

She explained that she hadn’t seen him in a long time and that he was the first person in months that hasn’t told her what to do. She said he saw her for her and not as a wife, a pregnant woman, or a china doll. I realized what she was saying and a wave of relief washed over me. I explained to her that she has always been “just Mabon” to me and that she’s always been just Mabon, just my, wife, and just the mother of my children. She’s just the amazing woman that I love.

Mabon told me that she’s always just been herself and will always be. I knew what she meant when she said and I gladly accepted it. She apologized for what had happened and vowed to not step foot in Outlands again. Well expect for Shattrath City that is she said with a smile. I took her in my arms and held her tight letting all of the day’s events vanish from my mind.

I had just returned home to see Mabon. She had been out adventuring all day. She told me of the places she had gone and the things she had done. She seemed defiant when she told me about her journey to Zul’Farrak with a friend. She grew angry when I told her I knew who she was with. She thought perhaps I was spying on her but I had run into an old friend that said they had seen her traveling with a male warlock. She grew even angrier when I asked if he had protected her. In a rage she told me that the warlock had not done anything. That she had done it all on her own and that she was stronger than ever. I tried to calm her down by telling her I didn’t doubt her skill but she went into another tirade about how everyone is telling her what to do now that she is pregnant and that she’s tired of it.

At this point I knew no matter what I would say she would attack me on it. So I walked over to the balcony and sat down. She came over and sat next to me. I explained to her that her skills are amazing but sometimes skill is not enough for a battle. You have to be prepared for the unexpected. I told her I had made that mistake all too recently. I then told her that I didn’t want to lose her and that I couldn’t stand losing another loved one. Those few words had the opposite effect as I had intended. Her anger was fueled by the comment and thought that I was patronizing her and bringing “her” up in the same breath. Mabon started to cry at this point and explained that she’s tried to understand what’s happened and that she’s tried to remain friends with Laiyne but she couldn’t take it anymore. She started to say something about Laiyne and couldn’t finish her sentence.

I knew she doubted my love for her at this point. I asked her how she could even begin to doubt my love for her and that I married her because I love her and want to be with her. To which she told me that she thought I married her out of “duty” and that I really want to be with “her”. My anger flared at her words. Mabon’s my wife and the mother of my unborn children. How dare she even say such things? She then explained that the “dragons” in her belly are the source of her energy and that since they have been a part of her she’s felt invincible. I walked over to her, took her into my arms, and told her that no matter what she may feel that she was in no way invincible. I held her in my arms and told her again that I could not live without her. She buried her head into my chest and cried away her frustrations.

Today was the day. I married Mabon in front of her family, our friends, and guild members. It was a lovely ceremony. We had the ceremony in the moonwell gazebo in Moonglade. We stood in the center of the gazebo and were surrounded by everyone. It was at this very spot Mabon agreed to marry me. I couldn’t have picked a better spot to profess my love for her.

The ceremony went very well. Her father, Stenholm Lightpath, started out by blessing our marriage. Our friend Chera agreed to run the ceremony along with Stenholm. It was short and sweet. There is nothing worse than a long wedding. We were both relieved that it went so well. The only thing that went wrong was that Mabon forgot her shoes. She’s bad about forgetting things.

After we were officially married, we thanked everyone for coming and invited them back to Lakeshire for the reception. Mabon’s “uncle” Sven was providing drinks for everyone and her friend Orgim was providing the food. The reception was full of dancing, drinking, and the occasional drunken dwarf challenging people to duels. After all the ale had run out people started leaving. We hung around for a bit and talked to a few people then decided to head out for the honeymoon.

I made plans with a dwarf farmer to have his place for the night. It was only suppose to be Mabon and me there. However, when we arrived the farmer and his brother were there. I talked to the farmer and said that they wanted to make sure that no one stole any of their crops or worse yet their rams. There wasn’t much I could do about it since it wasn’t my place, so we went inside to change and get a bit to eat.

When we went inside the farmer’s brother was asleep on the bed. At the time I laughed but when it got later in the evening I was more upset than anything. Mabon and I exchanged gifts. She bought me a blue beaded necklace. This was no ordinary necklace either. It was magically enchanted. In fact the necklace I was wearing was inferior to it. I gladly accepted the gift and Mabon put it around my neck for me. I had given her some bubbling water before the wedding as kind of a pre-wedding gift. She has been craving some for so long I decided to go and hunt it down for her. I did have one more gift for her. I went outside and brought back a small cage with cloth covering it. I told her I found this in Outlands and thought she would like it. She removed the cloth to reveal a small blue whelp. She was stunned at first and quickly became excited. She opened the cage and played with her new netherwhelp.

After all the excitement I decided to walk out to the boat dock and watch the sunset. We stood there and watched the water as the sun went down. We made a bit of small talk then grew incredibly uneasy. I smiled and took her into my arms. The sun set and all was well.

Speaking of Mabon, she hadn’t been feeling well lately. I won’t go into detail about what her symptoms are but I thought it is obvious what it was. I called my friend Askashia to come and have a look at her. We both agreed on what it could be but weren’t going to jump to conclusions without a priestess having looked at her first.

I called for a priestess to come look at her. Sure enough we were right! With that news Mabon began to worry. The stress started to wear on her, and I couldn’t have that. At that moment a thought occurred to me. I suggested to her that we call our friend Laiyne to Darnassus and have her marry us. Then, have the official wedding on Saturday. She loved the idea.

I asked for Laiyne and her fiancé, Malarion, to be teleported to Darnassus to perform the wedding ceremony. Besides, there will still be next weekend to celebrate with our friends and family.

The following day my mother, Tyrande, came to visit me. While she was healing my wounds I told her of the battle with Illidan and what had transpired. I told her I wasn’t for sure if he still lived or not, but I left him with a pretty nasty wound if he is still alive. She smiled at me and told me of how proud she was of me for taking care of the task that was laid before me. We spoke of my upcoming wedding and of my bride to be. We couldn’t talk for long due to her having duties she needed to attend to. It was having a little time to spend with her.

Later I awoke feeling a thousand times better than before. I actually had the strength to get up and walk around. So I decided to take a short trip to Stormwind to see if I could find Mabon. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find her, but I did find another. I ran into Laiyne in the Park. We went to one of the bars there and decided to have an in depth conversation about the night before.

Laiyne had questions, to which I was the only one that had answers to them. She told me of her dreams and I told her what they were. They were of her other half’s past life. She was seeing events that had actually happened through the eyes of Shadowminx. At some point one of our guild mates, Casyl, saw us talking and came over to have a seat. We welcomed her and tried not to exclude her, but we kept talking in our native tongue about her visions. I don’t remember exactly what happened but Laiyne got paler than she usually was and started to walk out, saying that she needed some air. I tried to stop her but she kept walking. Then I said something I probably shouldn’t have. I yelled out Shadowminx’s name.

Casyl not knowing what was going on stood up and looked at each of us. Laiyne turned around and asked Casyl to leave us for a moment. Casyl obliged. I sat in my chair crying from all that had happened lately. The stress I imagine had taken its toll on me. Laiyne came up to me and lifted me head to meet her eyes. She told me to come with her to get some fresh air. This wasn’t Laiyne that was speaking now. It was Shadowminx that had come to me.

We walked out of the bar and over to the small pond there in the park. We talked in depth about the situation. She had no regret for what she had done by joining with Laiyne. She told me that she never thought that Laiyne and I would ever cross paths but now that she had she was glad. She subject turned to my engagement to Mabon. She expressed to me that I had chosen a good woman for my bride and that she did in fact like Mabon. She was happy for me but heartbroken at the same time.

The subject turned to what we were going to do going forward. She asked me if I still loved her. I explained to her that there will always be a piece of me that loves her but we could not be anymore. I asked her to let Laiyne live out her life, to let her be happy and be married to Malarion. Laiyne has to be able to live her own life and that she had lived hers already. She knew what I said was true and agreed. She reached out and took my hand one last time as her presence left.

Laiyne woke up groggy. I walked over and stood on the edge of the pond. She asked me if she had had too much to drink again. I kept my back to her and agreed. As she shook off the grogginess she came and stood next to me. She said she knew about what was going on. That she was scared of what she was and what others would think of her, especially Malarion and Mabon. Mabon had grown into a sister type roll to Laiyne. She thought Mabon would want nothing to do with her once she found out what Laiyne was. She also worried that Malarion would want nothing to do with her once he found out she wasn’t strong enough on her own. I told her that Mabon would understand and that if Malarion really felt that way then he wasn’t good enough for her to begin with. Although I may not agree with Malarion’s ways, I know he is honorable and would not do such a terrible thing to her. As we stood there I grew weak and needed to get some rest. I said goodbye to Laiyne and returned to Darnassus.

I awoke to a familiar face. One I had seen for very long time. I reached out and took Shadowminx’s hand. I smiled and looked at her with blurry vision. My heart was lifted by her presence but yearned to be with another. I asked her if she was here to take me to see Elune and told her I wasn’t ready to go yet. There was still much I needed to do and people I needed to see again.

She told me she was there to help me recover. My vision started to return and I noticed it wasn’t who I thought it was at all. She spoke as her, knew things only she would know, my heart knew it was her but it wasn’t. The person standing before me was a friend. We had only been friends for a couple of weeks now. Mabon and she were very close. Almost like sisters. How was it that Laiyne could know such things? How could she speak in that way, with that tone and understanding?

Shadowminx explained to me that when Laiyne was a child her spirit wasn’t strong enough to live on its own. Laiyne’s mother had preformed a spell that bound her spirit to another’s in order to make her strong enough to live. The soul that was bound to Laiyne’s was Shadowminx’s. Minx, as I called her, explained that she never thought that our paths would cross again. That she lent her strength to Laiyne so that she could live. Now that my path has crossed with Laiyne’s everything has changed.

I told Minx of the heartache that I endured with her death, of how I retreated to the Emerald Dream to be with her again. I informed her of my engagement to Mabon and my love and commitment to her. I was not about to give up Mabon and that I intended to be with her the rest of her life. By this time I had tears streaming down my face. My heart felt torn knowing that all I was doing was pushing her away. I could not imagine the pain she must be feeling hearing the words spill from my mouth. She knelt down, kissed me, and said, “Have you forgotten me so quickly?”

Before I could answer I felt her presence leave. Laiyne looked up, surprised that I was awake. I wiped all the tears from my face and hoped she wouldn’t ask any questions. I just smiled and nodded at her. I thanked her for coming and for helping heal me. I sat up and moved to the edge of the bed. I stood up and attempted to walk. I did well for a few steps and then fell on my face. Laiyne cast a few more spells on me to relieve my pain. I stood back up and thanked Laiyne again. I told her I was going back to Darnassus to see my mother. I told her she was welcome to come with me if she liked. With a smile she nodded and agreed to join me. I pulled out a hearthstone and returned home.

I went up to my loft and lay on the bed. Shortly after I arrived Laiyne appeared. She had many questions about what had happened in Scryer’s Tier. I answered them as best as I could but I don’t believe they made any sense to her. I laid my head down and pretended to fall fast to sleep. Laiyne left my side shortly after. As I laid there I couldn’t help but think of Minx as I fell to sleep.
